THE REAL PLAY

A 2-DAY INTRODUCTION TO DEATHPRACTICE AND DEATHCLOWN

Experience nondual animism & collectivist social technologies and practice honest, direct and serious playfulness with the precarity of our situation (en)during this temporary omnicidal culture.

(Also learn how to deal with ghosts & addiction & cults. NBD.)

Is your anger & FEAR & grief about the world eating your soul? ARE YOU READY TO LEARN HOW to play it?

What if there was an artistic practice/somatic performance methodology where we learn to PLAY deliberately and directly with spirits, sickness, emotions, taboos, trauma and whatever other phenomena you want, in ways that are actually sane and healthy and creative?

Well: there is. It's not new, exactly. For many eras in our ancestral history, and in contemporary subcultures and primary cultures across the globe that have been somewhat insulated from the effects of westernism, people use basic ritual/theater structures to externalize inner knowings, clarify necessary communications, and revitalize the community and local ecosystems with deep listening, play, shapeshifting, and tending.

These ancestral structures were not relegated to “artists”, only occurring in places named “theaters,” but were folded into daily life of all people, as well as ritually and cyclically relevant times throughout the year.

The Real Play is an introduction to a deliberately collective reclamation of theater as a transformative social technology for ALL PEOPLE to live and be together in more authentic ways.

Can you imagine more and more humans learning to attune to the inherent potential of vital presence amidst the insanity of our planetary realities?

is this workshop a good fit for me?

I dunno, maybe? You tell us. Here's the deal:

The inherent spiritual and artistic therapeutics inside nondual animist deathclown training are a way that anyone can reclaim themselves from the chaos entrainment, grandiosity and learned helplessness of the modern western culture.

Clown has been a practice of the commons, of the people, long before it became a highly stylized performance aesthetic.

Training in the Theater of Precarity begins at the site of rupture, disruption, collapse, sickness, apocalypse, fear, pain and hunger to more explicitly reveal our underlying dreaming nature, putting those nightmares, phantasms and ghosts up on the stage, inside the ritual circle.

And: this worldview and set of practices can be destabilizing. It is therapeutic, but is definitely NOT therapy. To train in DEATHCLOWN, amidst a threatening, hostile and ignorant society and culture, you have to want it.

You have to want to change your state and discover more of what a human is capable of being. You have to want to break free of your habitual doldrums and stagnant ideas of what things are and how things are.

When we begin to play with what we don’t like ON PURPOSE, with curiosity, humor, insight and creativity, we reveal the vitality inherent in all reality, especially within the very many social issues we must remedy.

We are no longer imprisoned within a handful of culturally encoded “emotions” or “morals”. We see there is more to life, and being, and reality than the limited codes of a brainwashed and oppressed people who have forgotten we are nature itself.

You have to want it, and you have to discover it again and again, now, in any given moment, regardless of external circumstance or internal habit. Are you ready? Sign up for our mailing list to get notified when we open for registration.
